And so the final day of my Sydney trip arrived. Spent most of the morning just lazing around my friend's apartment while she *tried* to get some work done. Unsuccessful in her attempt, ST and I decided to head out for lunch at Din Tai Fung. Some of the best dumplings I've had in a long while. The xiao long baos had a thin wrapper around the perfect amount of pork mince. Delightful! The szechuan chilli noodles are pretty good as well. Oh, and you have to try the lychee mint drink, not too sweet and very refreshing.
After lunch we headed down to the Darling Quarter for coffee at Guylian Café. Being a Sunday and the sunny weather, a lot of families were about... If you don't like kids then you needs to avoid this area =P
That evening we were invited to a lingerie contest at Sapphire Lounge in Kings Cross, no not to participate(lol), but to support ST's friend. Yes, I agree it's a strange choice of activity and I've never done anything like it before... but it was rather interesting/entertaining. We actually quite enjoyed the music; old school rnb/hip hop which transported us back to the good old days of clubbing every weekend; plus they had $5 cocktails!
So, you must be wondering what kind of crowd attends these kind of events... Well ALL SORTS, like a bag of mixed lollies. In the corner we had a bunch of nerds, who had set aside time, away from World of Warcraft and model painting, in favour of basking in the glow of super spray tanned, scantily clad, ample bosomed women. We also had the regulars, who knew the bar staff/djs etc. and were strutting around acting like they owned the place. TBH I'd rather own a pet rock.
Later on, a group of blokes who looked like an international sports team walked in, still wearing their training gear! We later found out that they were not international, but just a bunch of local bogans -- probably a bocce team or something really cool like that. And don't get me started on the judges. Oh alright since I've already started =P There were two female judges, one of them looked like a has-been beauty pageant contestant... kinda haughty and was totally on a power trip, puh-lease lady, you're in the Cross and this ain't Miss Universe. There were also two male judges. I think one of them was the janitor.

THEN you had my friend ST and myself. We stuck out like two sore (asian) thumbs hahaha.
